On Construction Domestic Energy Assessments

SAP is the government’s national calculation methodology for the energy efficiency assessment of newly constructed (new build) dwellings.
Building Regulations/Standards stipulate that SAP calculations are required before any construction work can begin on a property (Design Stage), and also following construction, before a property is marketed for sale or let (As Built Stage).
We work with Design SAP 10 to calculate energy performance and submit assessment reports for any new build home which requires compliance with Approved Document L 2021 in England.

An EPC is a document that provides information about the energy efficiency rating of a property. Any new dwelling, or dwellings created by conversion or change of use are required to have SAP Calculations carried out. You must order an EPC for potential buyers and tenants before you market your property to sell or rent.

We will issue the necessary compliance report and EPC for building control to sign off.
